"Glasgow Parkour and Chris Grant are magicians when it comes to making you run and jump for a purpose. Like the skill they are teaching they have clear direction, style, strength, grace and stamina to carry forward a really new aesthetic for the streets." (Simon Sharkey, The National Theatre of Scotland) ---
Our workshops and teaching provide a way to learn and train the movements and fitness required to move efficiently through any environment.
The workshop programme has a thorough warm-up and warm-down and a training process tailored to the level of the students. Our training programmes are a mix of strength/fitness exercises and practice of parkour techniques .Students will be encouraged to push themselves, but never made to perform techniques which they do not feel comfortable with. Our programmes for community education provide tailored training workshops which will teach youths parkour while encouraging them to develop skills such as critical thinking, risk assessment, self improvement and community spirit. Each student is encouraged to improve at their own pace and help others to progress.
The coaches will work closely with the students to build a productive and supportive relationship.
The aim for each student will be to acheive something new at every class, and support each other's acheivement. There is no competition in Parkour and the classes are completely inclusive.
For more information or to book please contact chrisgrant(at)glasgowparkourcoaching.com
There is no competition in Parkour and no student will be excluded. We emphasise the importance of training for sport with a series of strength and technique drills.
The workshops will cater for students of any physical level and encourage them to focus on their own improvement which is a skill that they can carry into other aspects of their school work and their life.
The class is designed to progress through the basic fitness and techniques needed to be proficient in Parkour as well as touching on the mental aspects of the discipline.
Places must be booked - please contact the Tramway box office on 08453303501.
